Science Night at Vassar

On Tuesday November 12, VAST hosted a family event about the wonders of science. Vassar College Chemistry Professor Christopher Smart led a demonstration teaching chemistry concepts to the scholars. Professor Smart was very dynamic and fun to watch. The show ended with ice cream for the audience made from liquid nitrogen– very cool!

The VAST audience was engrossed in the performance. It was very interactive and students eagerly raised their hands to make a hypothesis about what was happening on stage.

It was a great way to engage the students in science! Hopefully we will continue to do science experiments at VAST.

THANK YOU Professor Smart for teaching us so much!
