Hermanx Program

The Hermanx program was developed out of a need for furthering the efforts to support students who identify as low income college students and/or first generation and/or undocumented –it is a program meant solely for those that identify as such. The foundation of the program is based upon the connection formed by one on one mentorship and the connections between the pairings.  The pairings are made regardless of class year.  There is potential for sophomore, junior, and senior participants to be both mentors and mentees simultaneously.

The Hermanx program seeks to inspire and create spaces in which our students are provided with identity/interest based pairings but also a community of classmates who wish to create a space of support, solidarity, and community.

If selected Mentors/Mentees should expect to set aside a considerable amount of time to dedicate to the program’s programmatic aspects and community building practices.   Participation will include but not limited to a two day retreat during the Fall semester and Spring semester.

You can register for the Hermanx program here! The deadline has been extended to August 8, 2016!
