Enhancing existing and developing new Vassar policies, guidelines, and protocols to facilitate change in the environmental and social conditions that affect student health.
As a national organization, Primary Care Progress (PCP) is an effort of health care providers, public health activists, and students to raise awareness about the current state of the US medical care system. Here at Vassar, PCP hopes to advocate for positive health behaviors among our students, faculty, and staff. In the past, we have held weekly discussions about issues in the medical system, public health, and legislation that affect access to health and healthcare in our community and across the nation. This year, we are focusing our efforts on creating a “decentralized health center.” Under Frida Velcani's leadership, we are working on curating information about on-campus and off-campus resources that serve to support students in all aspects of their health.
