Alicia Jago

Position: Post Baccalaureate Faculty

I graduated from Vassar College in 2012.  I majored in Physics with a correlate in Earth Science.  During the year, I enjoyed working as a research assistant in the VAOL as well as in the Earth Science department and spent my summers as an URSI Fellow.  I also served as President of Society of Physics Students (SPS) and headed up the Physics Majors Committee.
After graduation, I have continued to work at Vassar in the VAOL as a laboratory supervisor and I’ll begin teaching intro physics laboratory in Fall 2013.
My research experience includes the study of C. elegans via laser diffraction and shadowing techniques for shape and locomotory recognition and behaviors, as well as other techniques which study the effects of charge with laser diffraction.
