Tim Youd Retypes the Hudson Valley

Youd began retyping William Kennedy’s best-known novel, Ironweed, on Sunday. Here he is typing at an L.C. Smith and Corona, the typewriter Kennedy used to write his first five novels. Born in Albany in 1928, Kennedy often wrote about Albany’s rich history and looked to its  residents for inspiration.
