CALL FOR PROPOSALS: The Collaboratory Fall 2015

The Creative Arts Across Disciplines (CAAD) Initiative at Vassar invites proposals for The Collaboratory, a space available to the entire Vassar community for making and showing creative work. Any student or student group can apply to use The Collaboratory for a creative project in any discipline, however priority will be given to those projects that are arts-based, interdisciplinary, creative, and/or collaborative in nature. Projects that engage with next year’s CAAD theme of “sound” will also receive priority.
The Collaboratory is a retrofitted trailer with dimensions of approximately 24Lx8Wx7H. It is outfitted with electrical wiring. Projects using the space must be in accordance with responsible use policies (to be provided upon successful application). Possible uses of The Collaboratory include, but are in no way limited to, site-specific performance or installation, gallery-style project display, film screening, and all manner of creative workshops. Limited funds are occasionally available to support projects.
To apply to use The Collaboratory in Fall 2015, please fill out the following and return to creativearts@vassar.edu, or to Ariel Nereson, Campus Box 598 by MAY 15th, 2015. Applicants will hear back by May 30th.
